Ashley Williams (b. 05.05.1986) is a web designer and developer. She is also a killer technical support professional.
Ashley attended Wesleyan University for undergrad and graduated in May 2008 with a BA in a self-designed interdisciplinary major in Cognitive Studies. Her coursework focused primarily on continental philsophy (husserl, heidegger, derrida, foucault) and the behavioral neuroscience of perception and learning. She also took classes in logic and set theory.
After graduating, Ashley became a member of the 16th cohort of the NYC Teaching Fellows program. She took graduate level coursework at CUNY City College, and taught middle school science at PS/MS 149 in Harlem for 2 years. It's the hardest thing she's ever done in her whole life and she wouldn't trade that experience for the world.
While teaching, Ashley also attended Parsons (at the New School) and earned a Certificate in Graphic and Digital Design. Since then, she's been picking up freelance work here and there.
Ashley currently resides in Brooklyn, NY and is the program manager at Toura. in her spare time she is teaching herself Processing, and applying to grad school programs in Human-Computer Interaction.
